Budget 4G LTE Phablet, also with Dual Band WiFi and GPS support

The Voyo Q101 is an Ultra budget Android based Phablet that offers 4G LTE support and GPS built in. If you are considering a cheap Android Tablet, then this is probably for you. It also comes with a 1200p FHD Display, which is rare to see on a $100 Tablet. For this price, you should take note that the chipset is low end, meaning don’t expect blistering fast performance as well as great for gaming.

  1. Hi ,
great info people like to think these Chinese tablet are no good ,but they are wonderful value for money without breaking the bank .

  2. Thank you, Vincent. Main issue with cube iPlay U83 is the low powered camera. Is the chipset for cube iPlay U83, MT8163 significantly better than Voyo Q101 chipset MT6753? Thank you. Cube iPlay U83 also much heavier.

    1. All of them have pretty much average cameras. The mediatek MT6753 (is a smartphone chipset), it is still on the low end category. The MT8163 (tablet based chipset) still the same.

      Best Regards,
      Vince

  3. All fake!
Gearbest offers this Voyo Q101 4G as an ‘Android 6.0’ tablet with a ‘5000mAh’ battery.
A closer look reveals the truth:
    – the Voyo Q101 4G runs on the outdated Android 5.1 (aka ‘Lollipop_MR1, API22)
    – the built-in battery is just 4000mAh
This explains why the tablet will not install any Android 6 apps, only running for a few hours with one single charge.
On top the charger is of lousy quality, mine died within 2 days.

BUYER BEWARE! Stay away from Gearbest and their deceiving offers with false specifications. They continue to sell it as ‘Android 6.0 with 5000mAh’ battery, althrough I (and others) have delivered evidence about the true specs of this cheap thing.

    To answer questions above:
    – it DOES support 64GB cards, if formatted in FAT32 (not exFAT)
    – an image dump for the Voyo Q101 4G can be found on the Russian site 4PDA, no offical FW available AFAIK
    – the Russians are also trying to port an Android 7.0 image from Onda V10 4G to this Voyo
    – another clone “TecLast Tpad 98 4G” is apparently using the same firmware, but seems to lack the flashlight feature, so the function will get lost if flashing it to the “Voyo Q101 4G”
    – watch out, there are also “Voyo Q101” and “TecLast 98” models out there (no “4G”), running on different CPU, with less memory etc. A huge marketing mess…
