The video below is a short comparison between the two.

The Teclast Master T8 at a slightly cheaper price, might be the obvious choice, but it does have some issues that might be a deal breaker for some. One of which is the greenish or yellowish tinting of the screen, which is quite noticeable on white backgrounds, also the lack of GPS. But for gaming and other uses, it excels. It has great battery life and Connectivity via Dual Band Wireless ac.

Pros of the Teclast Master T8

  • Cheaper, smaller and more portable
  • Oleophobic coating and OGS screen
  • Decent Performance, no issues with force apps, no lags on lockscreen, runs stable
  • Good multitasking and overall performance
  • Impressive Gaming Performance, no lags, no stutters and fps drops (all games ran without a hitch)
  • Stable OS (Android 7.0 Nougat), no issues with apps
  • Excellent Dual Band Wireless ac connectivity
  • Supports Memory Expansion
  • Decent Audio Quality (3.5mm and Loudspeakers)
  • 6 hours Battery life on a 5400mAh Battery with Quick Charge Support

Issues or Some Cons:

  • Greenish or yellowish tint is noticeable
  • No GPS built in
  • No OTG Function
  • No HDMI Port, also USB Type C doesn’t support Video/Audio Out
  • Updater Tool issue (cannot retrieve updates) – hasn’t been updated once
  • MicroSD Card slot is a bit tight, cannot accept all kinds of microSD
  • Front Touch ID or Fingerprint Scanner limited function (only Fingerprint ID, nothing else)

The Teclast Master T10 is bigger but it does have one major advantage over the T8, it has a superior display. It doesn’t have that tinting issue and it also has GPS built in. Also battery life is rated up to 8 hours, making it the ideal travel tablet. However, some deal breakers include lingering issues on the Apps (Android Webview) which seems to always need to be force closed. There is no USB Type C Port and the placement of the Fingerprint Scanner is weird. Anyway, it also has excellent Connectivity via Dual Band Wireless and Camera Performance in my opinion is slightly better compared to the Teclast Master T8.

Pros of the Teclast Master T10

  • Has a bigger 10.1 inch Screen with Oleophobic Coating
  • No tinting and much better screen quality compared to the T8
  • Impressive Gaming Performance, no lags, no stutters and fps drops (all games ran without a hitch)
  • Decent multitasking and speed
  • Comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box (update is available and functional)
  • Excellent Dual Band Wireless ac Connectivity
  • GPS built in (about 20 seconds to get first lock)
  • Mini HDMI Port capable of 4K Video Out
  • USB Host OTG Function
  • Decent Audio Quality (3.5mm Audio and Loudspeakers)
  • 8 hours Battery Life on a 8100mAh (Fast Charger Included)
  • Memory Expansion slots accepts all microSD cards I can put on it, it is not picky unlike the T8

Issues or Some Cons:

  • Force Close Apps (Android WebView) issues with this app
  • No USB Type C Port
  • Weird position of the Fingerprint Scanner
  • Loudspeakers can easily be muffled when you hold it on landscape mode

Where to Buy?

Teclast Master T8 at $176 (promo price until Nov 27)

Teclast Master T10 at $189 (price until Nov 30)

Which one do you think is better? Is the screen tinting of the T8 a deal breaker for you? Well, if you ask me, with the Teclast T10 is still my favorite. The bigger screen and GPS function are my priorities. Even with the problems and minor issues with the OS, it is still a good tablet. So, which one do you wins this comparison?
