The Chuwi Vi7 is the latest Ultra budget tablet that offers great features, perfect for those who want a cheap tablet with built-in Phone call functionality. For such a cheap tablet, one would not expect more in terms of hardware, however, the Chuwi Vi7 comes with a 64 bit entry level Intel Atom X3 processor, quite a new Soc that offers improve performance over the 32 bit version and also uses Mali-450MP4 Graphics processor for the extra graphical horsepower. Unfortunately, the tablet only comes with a frugal 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage (expandable). But for this price, it is quite understandable.

Another notable feature is Full Phone Functionality, as well as other connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS, WiFi and USB Host OTG Support. Underneath is a 2500mAh built in battery, which may not give a plenty of juice, but more frugal usage give it around 120hrs of standby time.

Overall, the Chuwi Vi7 is basically a very affordable 7 inch Phablet. The low resolution may put off most users, but for those who want a regular tablet (budget) that doesn’t break the bank, then the Chuwi Vi7 is perfect. It might not win in the looks department, but the respectable performance and practical features make it a good value.

  1. Pros:
    – Clean Android 5.1
    – Antutu 25k pts but it doesnt correspond to overall performance of Android environment
    – not so good but acceptable quality(4/5)
    – Display even with IPS lacks of color and sharpness
    – 160 ppi
    – very very slow performance on the Android normal operations
    – installing application, going through applications and Android environment
    – CPU on the description is clocked at 1.2GHz but all benchmarks shows only 0.9Ghz
    – slow RAM and ROM
    – on the Chuwi description its written 120h standby mode…I didnt reached 75hr with GPS, WIFI, network communication(all OFF)
    – only 2500mAh
    – no flash on camera, no proximity and no light sensors

Overall I do not recommend this model of Chuwi. I could buy for such price in my country(Poland) better tablet with better battery and performance

    • Hello Barath

The Chuwi Vi7 is a good beginner tablet, and the plastic construction makes it ideal for children. It is also snappy thanks to Sophia Atom processor. Although, the display resolution is a bit low and you only have 1 GB RAM natively, but if you are a casual user, then this tablet more than fits your needs.

      Best Regards,

    • Hi,
I am wondering which tablet you meant from poland? I’m trying to choose something with 3g and good performance but nothing but vi7.
      Any suggestions?

      • Hello Artur,

you could ask your carrier if the 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz frequencies are supported.

        Best Regards,
