The Chuwi Vi10 is a budget priced Full size tablet that offers built in 3G and Dual Boot support. And given the aesthetics, the tablet is more incline to compete with the Microsoft Surface 3. Although they are of different league in terms of pricing. The Dual OS Support (natively Android 4.4 and Windows 8.1) offers easy switching and superb performance via the snappy 64 bit Intel Atom Z3736F Quad Core Processor. As stated, the Z3736 is a bit faster than the lower clocked Z3735. Furthermore, the device is equipped with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, expandable via TF-Card support up to 64 GB maximum.
Probably a notable feature is the built in 3G module, although there are models who will only have WiFi on them. Quite easily, the tablet can reach HSPDA+ speeds with ease. Furthermore, the tablet also supports USB Host OTG and offers Mini HDMI for more versatility.
Speaking of connectivity, the tablet is equipped with built-in 3G and supports Single SIM via Micro SIM slot. Although a 4G dongle can also be used for 4G connectivity options. Standard connectivity options are also available such as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and HDMI.
Superb build quality gives the Chuwi Vi10 an edge to other tablets of the same spec. The massive 8000mAh complements the use of the tablet nicely, although charging it takes forever. The tablet takes on a Glossy back shell, which is nice to look at but unfortunately, easily attracts Fingerprints.
Overall, the tablet bares similarities to the Pipo W3F, also a Full size tablet that offers similar performance and features. The PiPo W3F is equipped with a 1080p display which gives it an edge. On the other hand, the Chuwi Vi10 offers better connectivity option via the built in 3G Support. Redeeming qualities include the built in 3G, great build quality and more versatility. Thus, is the Chuwi Vi10 worth the price? Yes, and every bit of it. It’s a great budget tablet with little compromises.
