Chuwi Lapbook Apollo – 14 inch Apollo N3450 Celeron Laptop

Chuwi’s first entry into the Apollo Lake line up is surprisingly good. This budget Laptop offers Intel Apollo Celeron N3450 which is a bit beefier compared to the Atom Cherry.

What you need to know of the Chuwi Lapbook Apollo 14.1

  • Powered by 7th Generation Intel Apollo Celeron N3450 Quad Core Goldmount Architecture
  • Intel HD Graphics 500 GPU
  • Dual Channel 4 GB RAM clocked at 1600MHzble to 8 GB
  • Sandisk eMMC 64 GB (supports Expansion)
  • Supports M.2 Sata3 SSD (can be used as boot for much faster performance)
  • Matte Anti-Glare 14.1 inch 1080p IPS Screen (non reflective), great for using outdoors
  • Good brightness levels and color reproduction
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless 3165 (similar to the Cube Mix Plus)
  • Runs a licensed Windows 10 Home Edition 64 bit
  • Dual Band WiFi Support
  • Good Quality keyboard and Touchpad, much better quality compared to other cheapo laptops
  • 14.1 inch IPS 1080p Display
  • USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 (supports Peripheral devices like External HDD) – works perfectly
  • 12V 9000mAh battery

Cons:

  • Plastic build is prone to overheating, can get hot on gaming, close to 88°C plus (not enough heat dissipation)
  • Average sounding speakers, loud but no bass and faces downward
  • Chipset is slower compared to the Pentium N4200 of the Voyo Vbook V3 Apollo

Not quite the typical cheapo laptops currently available, the Chuwi Lapbook Apollo is surprisingly good for the price. At around $200, you get a slightly faster chipset, faster than Atom Cherry and also a good matte IPS screen, which is hard to come buy at this price. If you are looking for a good value laptop then look no further to this one.

  1. hi .i plan of buying chuwi hi12.mostly for photoshop and drawings. but chuwi announced the release of chuwi hi13 with higher processor. Do you think i should wait for hi13 or go for hi12?

    • Hello Brigz,

I dunno if the Chuwi hi13 will support Wacom Stylus or a Stylus with similar features to the Microsoft Surface. But I do know that it has a 3000×4000 pixel screen I think.

      Best Regards,
      Vince
