The Chuwi Hi8 Pro is the latest reboot to go Cherry Trail, with a guaranteed 30% improvement over the previous Z3735F Bay Trail processor. The tablet also is ultra affordable, priced at sub$100 which gives it an excellent price to performance ratio.

Sub$100 dollar tablet but powerful hardware

Despite the Sub$100, most of the features of the Chuwi Hi8 Pro are premium. The 1200p IPS High Definition display offers wide viewing angle and about 283 ppi. The tablet also comes with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB eMMC Storage with expandable slot available. The tablet also runs the latest 64 bit Windows 10 Home System out of the box.

A decent size battery coupled with a metallic frame

Actually, the Chuwi Hi8 Pro is the same with the non-pro Bay Trail version. And thus, the dimensions and designs are the same, including the metallic frame and solid construction despite the plastic shell material. The 4000mAh battery will also give it around 3 to 4 hours depending on usage preference.

USB Type C

Although the Chuwi Hi8 Pro is a reboot, it does come with some new and warranted upgrades. A major plus is the USB Type C connector which enables faster charging and faster data transmission.

Sub$100 Cherry Trail Tablet? Who wouldn’t want that?

It is a reboot, but at just $95, it is one of the most affordable Cherry Trail Tablet available. Also despite the pricing, it seems there is no compromise, the display still is more than FHD, and the build quality still is great. If you are on a budget? then the Chuwi Hi8 Pro is the best choice.
