Chuwi Hi13 Unboxing and First Hands on – A premium Surface Pro Clone

Here is my first hand experience and unboxing of the Chuwi Hi13. It offers 3K Display similar to the Surface and Intel Apollo Lake N3450.

First Impressions:

  • Premium build Quality, the same seen on the Cube Mix Plus, Cube i9 etc…
  • All Aluminum build
  • Heavy, around 1kg, difficult to carry one hand
  • Gorgeous Display, 13.3 inch IPS 3000 x 2000 pixels, 60Hz
  • very responsive and accurate touch responses
  • Powered by Intel Apollo Lake Celeron N3450
  • 4 GB RAM and 64 GB eMMC with support for MicroSD (expansion)
  • Intel HD Graphics 505
  • 64gb Samsung eMMC Drive
  • Dual Band Intel Wireless 3165
  • Runs Windows 10 Home Edition (Activated)
  • 12V 2A Charger and output via USB Type C
  • USB 3.1 Slot
  • 2 in 1 Convertible Tablet
  • 4 Side facing Speakers
  • Fast Cold Start, less than 10 seconds
  • I can’t test the keyboard and Stylus (unavailable currently for me)

What I don’t like as of the moment

  • eMMC Storage instead of SSD
  • Large Bezels
  • Really heavy, I mean it is difficult to carry one handed

A good looking Surface Book Clone

So far, my first impression of the Chuwi Hi13 is great. It looks good, works well and offers basically what you want on a 2 in 1 convertible. My full review will be released soon. Anyway, the build quality is all aluminum, and offers an awesome looking 3K Display. Although it natively supports Stylus, unfortunately, I could not test it because I don’t have it with me on my package, and that includes the Keyboard also. It also comes with Dual Band WiFi Support, the same WiFi chipset with the Cube Mix Plus. The only gripe I have on it is the eMMC storage instead of SSD and the rather large bezels, also the fact that it is priced competitively with the Cube Mix Plus which has a much faster Chipset. Stay tune for my Full Review…
